Animal Health Center offers comprehensive small animal services in a clean, comfortable hospital. Veterinary technicians and assistants provide your pet with care and compassion while helping our veterinarians make sure your pets get the care they deserve. Listed below are some of the services we offer.
Wellness
Annual wellness exams are the first step to keeping your pet healthy and happy. Our wellness plans begin with a thorough history and a physical exam. Based on these findings, we are able to choose the correct vaccines and parasite management plans.
Vaccines
Available vaccines are evaluated by our doctors to ensure your pet receives safe and affordable care.
All of our vaccines are guaranteed by the manufacturers for safety and efficacy.
Parasite Control
Testing, treating, and prevention of internal and external parasites are important to the health of your pet. Parasites are not only dangerous to your pet, but certain ones are zoonotic or can potentially be passed to humans where they may cause serious disease.
Soft Tissue and Orthopedic Surgery
From routine spays and neuters to selected orthopedic procedures and fracture repairs, all surgeries are performed in our dedicated surgery suite. We routinely perform tumor removals, C-sections, exploratory surgery, foreign body removals, and other abdominal procedures. Orthopedic surgeries include ACL repair, luxating patella, FHO, and some fracture repairs.
Each surgical case is considered on an individual basis taking into account age, medical status, and overall health. Pre-operative blood work is done for every pet and IV fluids may be recommended if needed to ensure safety during anesthesia. We use various anesthetic options and will select one that is right for each patient. Our well-trained surgery technicians use special equipment to monitor your pet during surgery. Special attention is given to each patient to manage and control pain and inflammation associated with injuries and surgery to aid in healing and recovery.
Medicine
Diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. This process starts with a thorough history from those who interact with the pet daily. A complete physical exam is performed and diagnostic tests recommended as needed to accurately diagnose and treat your pet.

Animal Health Center is equipped with a complete in-house laboratory capable of performing blood chemistries, complete blood counts, urinalyses, Parvovirus infections, Feline Leukemia Virus, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, pancreatitis tests, heartworm tests, parasite screening, and others. Whether your pet is in pain due to injury, surgery, or arthritis; we offer comprehensive pain control programs to keep them comfortable and active and allow for quicker healing. We offer NSAID therapy with long-term monitoring, Adequan injections, laser therapy, and prescription arthritis diets. We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each form of pain control with you to determine which is best for your pet.

When it is time for your female dog to be bred, we can stage her heat cycle with vaginal smears. This helps us determine the optimal time for breeding. We offer non-surgical artificial insemination for canine patients. We have ultrasound and x-ray available to determine if your female is pregnant and perform cesarean sections when needed.
Imaging
Animal Health Center is equipped with digital x-ray which allows for rapid and detailed x-rays of bone and soft tissue. X-rays can be easily sent to specialists if needed. We also have ultrasound for looking at soft tissue.
Dentistry
Recent studies have shown that dental health is very important in helping your pet enjoy a long and healthy life. We routinely perform dental scaling and polishing on all ages of patients. When necessary, advanced dental techniques, antibiotics, and pain management with be utilized for tooth extractions and oral surgery.
