Bovine and other livestock services are available either on the ranch or at our heated haul-in facility. Our large animal facility is complete with a squeeze chute and secure pens. We understand that your livestock is your livelihood and strive to keep services and products affordable. Listed below is a summary of some of the services we offer:
Herd Health:
Animal Health Center is experienced in providing beef cattle producers with a variety of herd health services including pregnancy detection, vaccination programs, breeding programs, and production problems. Most of our pregnancy detection is done by ultrasound, increasing efficiency and accuracy.
Surgery:
Livestock castration, dehorning, caesarian sections, water belly surgeries, and a variety of other surgeries can be performed at our large animal barn or on the ranch.
Parasite Control:
Testing, treating, and prevention of internal and external parasites are important to the health of livestock. Our veterinarians will help you develop parasite treatment and control programs specific to your needs.
Neonatal Care:
Diseases in newborn livestock can be devastating. We can help you treat and prevent neonatal diseases in all livestock.
Bull Breeding Soundness:
We offer complete bull breeding soundness evaluations (BSE) utilizing current standards for acceptable minimum traits in breeding bulls. BSE’s provided by a trained, experienced veterinarian are the surest way to maximize pregnancy rates in your cattle. Our veterinarians are certified with the state to test for Trichomoniasis, a devastating reproductive disease in cattle. Whether it is 1 bull or 100, Animal Health Center is able to service your needs.
Regulatory:
We provide brucellosis vaccination and testing, tuberculosis testing, trichomoniasis testing, health certificates and other regulatory requirements for the interstate movement of livestock.
Medicine:
Diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
In-house and referral lab services:
Animal Health Center is equipped with a complete in-house laboratory capable of performing blood chemistries, complete blood counts, urinalyses, parasite screening, and others. We also utilize numerous referral laboratories to perform those tests we do not have available to us in-house.
Emergencies:
Animal emergencies happen and our veterinarians can help you deal with all types of large animal emergencies including calving and injuries. Call the clinic at (307) 745-6381 for instruction on contacting a veterinarian after hours.
FFA and 4H Projects:
All of our doctors and staff have participated in 4-H and FFA in some way and we are dedicated to giving back to the community and helping Laramie youth. Livestock projects require an enormous amount of effort and dedication. The staff at Animal Health Center can help 4H and FFA members with information about taking care of and preparing livestock projects for the fair. We offer discounted services and free fair health certificates for 4-H and FFA Youth.
