Animal Health Center offers a full service boarding facility, available seven days a week for dogs and cats. Our kennels are modern, spacious, odor free, and climate controlled. Your pet’s individual quarters provide natural light and are cleaned daily. All dogs are walked outside, weather permitting, at least twice daily and receive a bath the day they are scheduled to go home. Our feline guests are comfortable in their own private room, away from barking dogs and the hustle and bustle of the hospital.

Check-in and Check-out

Regular check-in and check-out days are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Boarding check-out is also available Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 to 5:30 pm. Charges begin on the day your pet is dropped off and for each day thereafter. Pets picked up before 10:00 am on the day of discharge will have the fee waived for the day.

Holiday Reservations

We are closed on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. However, our boarding facility is fully operational and our kennel staff is on duty to care for our guests. Holidays fill up early so call ahead for reservations. We do not charge for cancellations in boarding, but please call at least one week in advance for cancellations over holiday breaks to allow us to open that space to others.

Vaccinations and Parasite Control

It is mandatory that your pet is current on all vaccinations to insure protection of all pets under our care. The following vaccinations are required:

Dogs – annual DHPPL (Distemper, Parvo, Lepto) and bordetella (kennel cough), and current rabies.

Cats – annual FVRCP (Feline Distemper) with leukemia, and current rabies.

Proof of vaccination by a licensed veterinarian is required. We accept invoices, medical records, or signed vaccination certificates. Breeder and home vaccinations are not accepted. We recommend monthly parasite prevention including a heart worm preventative. If external or internal parasites, such as fleas or worms, are found on your pet, it will be treated at the owner’s expense to prevent exposure to other animals in our facility.

Medical Emergencies

One of the biggest advantages to boarding at our facility is that veterinary attention is immediately available should the need arise. If your pet becomes ill, it will be treated by one of the veterinarians on staff unless otherwise directed. We will attempt to contact you if treatment is needed and treatment is at the owner’s expense.

Food and Medication

We feed all of our guests Hill’s Science Diet dry food. If your pet requires a special diet, please provide our staff with the diet and specific written instructions. Medication must be in labeled containers with specific instructions. We are happy to accommodate your pet’s special needs. There is a minimal charge of $2.80/day to administer medications.

Pet’s Belongings

Please limit your pet’s belongings to no more than two items. The items must be permanently labeled with identification. We will not be responsible for items lost, chewed, or left behind.

Toys and Bones – One approved toy or chew bone per pet please. No pig ears, hooves, rawhides, or raw bones.

Bedding and Towels – We provide comfortable blankets and throws. If you bring bedding, it must be completely washable and no larger than 3 ft by 3 ft. No cedar or foam padded bedding please. If your pet eats bedding, please let us know.
