Animal Health Center offers a full service boarding facility, available seven days a week for dogs and cats. Our kennels are modern, spacious, odor free, and climate controlled. Your pet’s individual quarters provide natural light and are cleaned daily. All dogs are walked outside, weather permitting, at least twice daily and can receive a bath the day they are scheduled to go home for an additional fee. Our feline guests are comfortable in their own private room, away from barking dogs and the hustle and bustle of the hospital.
Check-in and Check-out
Regular check-in and check-out days are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Boarding check-out is also available Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 to 5:30 pm. Charges begin on the day your pet is dropped off and for each day thereafter. Pets picked up before 10:00 am on the day of discharge will have the fee waived for the day.
Holiday Reservations
We are closed on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. However, our boarding facility is fully operational and our kennel staff is on duty to care for our guests. Holidays fill up early so call ahead for reservations. We do not charge for cancellations in boarding, but please call at least one week in advance for cancellations over holiday breaks to allow us to open that space to others.
Vaccinations and Parasite Control
It is mandatory that your pet is current on all vaccinations to insure protection of all pets under our care. The following vaccinations are required:
Critter Cottage Overnight Packages
** All kennels come with the option of feeding personal food or Hill’s Science Diet Low Fat I/D provided by Animal Health Center at no additional cost. Dogs not staying in Luxury Suites will be assigned to a Cabin or Yurt kennel based on availability, size of dog, and whether they are staying alone or with another dog. **
Luxury Suite: Our luxury suites are 31 Sq Ft and include an elevated Kuranda Bed with pillow pad (patient dependent), morning and evening walks/yard time, daily photo update, and one (1) mid-day group or individual play time.
Cabin: Our Cabins are 21 Sq Ft and include an elevated Kuranda Bed and morning and evening walks/yard time.
Yurt: The Yurts are great for our smaller companions! They include an elevated Kuranda Bed and morning and evening walks/yard time.
Feline Suite: Your feline companion will get to enjoy their quieter space, away from the dogs! These suites are 12 sq ft. A cat tree, large sitting window, and handful of toys are available for out-of-the suite playtime each day.

Overnight Boarding Additional Services
Daily Reports: Would you like to know how your pet is doing each day? Sign up for daily reports! Reports include 1-2 images and an update on how well your furry companion is eating, drinking, and interacting with our Cottage Staff. Reports are sent each evening via text or email.
Individual/Group Playtime: Want your furry companion to get extra attention and play time? No problem! Up to two playtimes can be requested each day. Play times are a minimum of 15 minutes long and under direct supervision from Cottage Staff. Safety is our top priority so each participant will be evaluated before joining a group for playtime and groups are tailored to each pet’s personality, size, and energy level. Group sizes are limited so each participant gets the attention they deserve! Dogs participating in group play are required to be spayed or neutered and at least 16 weeks old. Please be sure to fill out the “Group Play Questionnaire” if this is something you’d like to sign up for. Dogs not suited for group play can have individual play time. With indoor and outdoor play areas we’re ready to play all year round!
Kuranda Bed Pillow Pad: Add some extra comfort to the Kuranda Beds with a padded fleece pillow.
Luxury Upgrade: You can add all the amenities of luxury boarding to our basic kennels if our luxury kennels are full.
Medications: If your dog needs medications given while boarding, our trained Cottage staff can give oral or injectable medications up to 3 times a day.
Discharge Bath: Would you like your canine friend to go home freshly bathed and dried? Ask for a discharge bath. This bath is not a complete grooming bath and does not include brushing. If that is what you would like, please consider scheduling a grooming on the day of discharge with JoJo’s Pet Spa, located within Critter Cottage.
Doggy Day Care & Day Boarding
** Doggy Day Care and Day Boarding are available M-F, 7:30am to 5:30 pm. No meals are fed, but water will be available at all times.
Day Care: Planning to be away from home all day? Bring your pup in for the day and we’ll burn the energy off for you! This includes two one-on-one or group playtimes, multiple potty breaks outside, and a Cabin or Yurt for resting and rehydrating! Feel free to bring any treats you’d like your pup to enjoy during the day.
Day Boarding: Day boarding is a great option for those that need a place for their dog to stay during the day, but want a more basic option. Includes an elevated Kuranda dog bed and mid-day walk. No playtime included.
